Silliness, another pool visit, bangs straightening and…a new cafe theme.

The Rabbit House is quiet, since Cocoa has gone over to Chiya’s place to study before exams. Things get lively again, however, when Chino’s friends Maya and Megu come over. The girls decide to all wear pigtails to copy Rize. Yes, that’s what this show is all about, doing cute and silly stuff of no significance.
On the other side of things, Cocoa is helping out Chiya at Ama Usa An, and her hyper nature actually makes her a useful employee for a busy cafe (the Rabbit House never seems to get that busy). You would never have thought it, but the Cocoa-Chiya pair are handling things very well. Chiya has never seen her work go this smoothly. At the other end, Chino seems to be in a funk, making nothing but milk cocoa (Rize says dramatically that Chino is Cocoa-sick–that is, missing Cocoa).
At some point Cocoa and Chiya actually get down to studying, with Syaro coming by to help them (she’s there to discipline them, since the two airheads would otherwise never get anything done). Syaro, of course, just wants to go home, since the two ditzes are not exactly studying hard. Back with the Rabbit bunch, the Megu and Maya pair suggest they all go to the hot springs pool after work, since they heard all about it from Chino and really want to go. The trip to the pool turns into a water pistol game (ahh, Rize, you single-minded girl, you). They’re joined by Aoyama Blue Mountain, who embraces the frippery.
Chino then has a sleepover with her friends, which gets livened up by a rabbit-flavored game her father brings (the only board game Chino has is chess). Still, it seems both Chino and Cocoa miss each other as they share a call late that night. The next morning…more silliness ensues, as the Chimame Corps (Chino, Maya, Megu) turn the Rabbit House into a “little sister cafe.”
Woven among the silliness and swimsuits, there was the usual heartwarming sentiment involving friendship, this time looking at it from the perspective of missing friends. Cocoa flourishes at Ama Usa An, but Chino is unexpectedly missing Cocoa’s presence. It’s revealed that Syaro still feels some anxiety about being separated from Chiya, with whom she used to go to school. And of course Cocoa does miss having Chino around, but also reveals her slight jealousy of Chiya and Syaro, who are childhood friends, as she states that she never had any. Another episode that deals in Is the Order a Rabbit’s stock in trade: cuteness and sentiment.
In Summary:
Cocoa goes over to Chiya’s place to study for exams, bolstering the Japanese cafe’s serving abilities. Chino brings over her friends Maya and Megu, creating what Rize dubs the Chimame Corps. Silliness mixed with sentiment ensues. Pretty much does what all the episodes of this series do, though that’s not a bad thing necessarily.
